Bees and an award.
First I have to thank Deb from Posted from Home for this award. The "BWA" is given for "brilliant photos & text". It means a lot to me that people enjoy my blog and I really appreciate this award. Thanks, Deb, sorry it took so long for me to post this.
These photos show the handiwork of Cutter Bees Cutter bees are instrumental in pollinating many wild flowers. They are not aggressive and only have a light sting when necessary. They do not eat the leaves they cut but use the pieces in their nest
These are my Jack-in-the- pulpit leaves in the shade garden. The green cluster between the leaves will become red in the fall. Do you have Cutter Bees in your area?

It's Bloomin' Tuesday!
Welcome to Bloomin' Tuesday! I found a couple surprises in the garden this week.
I just noticed that I have a white hollyhock too! We have had some hard rain and the blooms are so heavy that the hollyhocks are bending over.
I also spotted this day lily in the middle of my garden. All my daylilies were in this garden until a couple years ago. I must of missed this one.
My astilbe is blooming in the shade garden although something broke off a lot of it. Maybe that pesky rabbit!
Do you get flowers on you hens and chicks? I'm not thrilled with them but I guess they are interesting.
Most of mine get so top heavy that they fall over and never really bloom.
My trumpet vine has just started to bloom. I really like this plant but you can't plant it too near your house or it will come in!
Allium
I bought this cleome this year. It's an annual but I'm hoping it will reseed. I love the color of this one.
The pink cranesbill geranium is all over my garden.
I really love these plants and the blue is one of my favorites.
These are great plants if you have a large area to fill. They bloom for a long time and get huge if you let them.
I hope you enjoyed the walk thru my garden. To take a country wide tour just click on the names below. If you would like to join the fun and show us what's bloomin' where you are planted just add your name and blog address to Mr Linky and post a link to this post on your blog.Sorrow

Butch of Butch's Battle (side bar) my children's father passed away around 12:30 today. Please keep them in your thoughts. Both of their blogs are listed on my side bar. My daughter Laurie (of Laurie and Chris) and my son Kim and his wife Tabatha and daughter Jerzie (The Smith Family) appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.
Let's Party!!
The birthday girl! I found this dress and had to get it for her to wear to her party.
Several of us put together to get her a swing set. She loves to "whee!"
Daddy had to "whee" too.
Trying out all the swings.
A push from Uncle Chris.
The babies had to try out the slide first.
Catch me Daddy!
Jerzie has been asking for a monkey ever since they went to the zoo so I had to get her one.
She opened and read every card
and every book! Everyone knows she loves books so she got several.
Eating birthday cake.
We already took her new babies for a walk in a birthday outfit from Gramma
and her new stroller.
Jerzie has so much family and so many friends that there is going to be a kids party next week!
She did very well for not wanting to be 2!

Bundle of Joy!
Our little bundle of joy, Jerzie Shea, was born 2 years ago today! Click here if you would like to learn how she got her name and a trip they took for her 1st birthday. This post is about her actual party. I can't remember what life was like without her.
She is almost always smiling.
She is a true blue Mets fan!
She loves to read and be read to.
She loves doggies, kitties, monkeys and buggies.
She loves to play in the water!
She loves to be "funny" and to yell "Boo! Did I scare you?"
She definitely has a mind of her own
and is just a little bit stubborn.
(yea, right, a little bit!)
She still wants to be our baby and we're okay with that!
("No, big girl!")
She is the light of all our lives!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Jerzie Shea!
We Love you!
