Welcome to Bloomin' Tuesday! I would like to thank all of you that participate each week! I have really been enjoying this and am excited to see new participants each week. On with the tour!
I have found another plant that I'm enjoying. It is the Crocosmia. I got some free bulbs several years ago but they were planted among other tall plants and didn't do well. I was given more by a friend before I realized I already had some. Once I moved them I discovered what a beautiful plant they are.
The leaves are long and thin and the flower sways in the breeze. Add that to the fact that they are orange and I'm hooked! They grow in zones 7 - 11 and are all in the golden yellow to red colors.
I discover these golden yellow ones at my favorite nursery and had to have them. The flowers look yellow orange from the outside but are yellow inside.

What lovely blooms you have this week Jean. I love Croscosmia too. I've never seen the yellow ones before. I have red & orange. I will be posting in a few hours. Thanks for hosting Bloomin' Tuesday! :)
I always have so many purple and pink blossoms in my garden, but I do love those yellow and orange flowers too. They add so much "sunshine!" Love the crocosmia -- especially in the midst of the other flowers!
Hi Jean, I love your Crocosmia. I have red and orange ones but I have never seen yellow ones! Very beautiful! Thanks for sharing and for also hosting Blooming Tuesday. I really enjoy participating in it every Tuesday! Thanks for the time and effort you put forth.
Love, Ann
This is a lovely plant. It's the first time I've seen it, and luckily, it grows here since I'm in Zone 9b. I'll have to look for it when I go to the nursery. The colors remind me of my Red Bird of Paradise flowers.

Lookin' forward to seeing your garden later this week!
My teddy bear sunflowers are center stage right now.
:o)
Beautiful Orange flowers! I love the ladder with the birdhouse in your garden.
I love those among your blackeyed susans! They look like flags waving! Great combo, AND thank you for hosting Bloomin' Tuesday!
I have those in my garden too, they add a nice bright splash of colour.
That is a really cool plant Mom I didn't even notice it when we were there on Sunday.
Hi Jean,
What a timely post.I am expecting some Crocosmia in the mail this week. I have never grown them. The foliage sort of looks like daylily foliage.
I am planning to plant them in containers on the deck and storing them for the winter.
I hope mine look as nice as yours!
I love the ladder & birdhouse Jean. Your orange flowers looks lovely.
I've seen the Crososmia before but never knew what they were!
I really like them...maybe next year. It's hard to believe that the season's over.
I always enjoy seeing what flowers you have each week. These are lovely! Happy Bloomin' Tuesday!
I am going to join your group. I just took a picture of my garden today. I will post it right now.
Love your photos.
I got here somehow through the Show & Tell links and glad I did! You have a lovely, lovely garden! I absolutely love gardening and I'll try to join in next Tuesday (I hope I remember!). Nice to meet you!
