........as much as I love my Granddaughters, I really don't care how many times they pee-pee and poo-poo in daycare.
..even a banana makes for smiles and giggles.
..dollar store jewelry and an old ballerina jewelry box keep a almost 4 year old happy for hours.
.....that you shouldn't get up to pee at 5:40am unless you plan on staying up.
We are having cold weather again. There were some snow flakes in the air yesterday and a heavy frost this morning. Calling for the same tonight. I saw a couple plants were affected but I'm sure they'll come back.
The azalea in front of my house. This was here when I bought the house but it was tangled with another azalea bush. That one isn't blooming yet.
Iris and columbine beside my neighbors garage. 
I excited about my peony tree! It has 3 blooms this year. It only had one last year.
I love the bright color and the foliage is pretty all season with the tint of pink on the edges..
The Jack-in-the-Pulpit in the shade garden are doing great. They always remind me of the camp we used to spend our time at when the kids were young.
The color is amazing and I'm totally fascinated by them.
My favorite spring shade plant is also blooming. I love Solomon's Seal. I also have some with variegated leaves but they aren't quite open yet. They didn't fill in as well as these did.
The tiny bell shaped flower with a green edge are so delicate looking but this is actually a hardy plant. Mine are 3 to 4 feet tall now but they completely fade away in the fall.

The catch! It was very windy so there weren't as many birds flying as usual. They caught 2 birds, in very fine nets, while we were there.
Both girls were afraid to touch it, everyone was given a chance.

The release!
The bird is taken out of the bottle and placed in a hand. The bird flies off immediately so I couldn't get a picture. Kids are given the chance to release. Jerzie didn't want to try, maybe next year!
There are several of these benches along the walk.

Payton loves the stone steps. They are just the right size for her to sit on.

Welcome to Bloomin' Tuesday! I just had to show you the tulips that the bunny ate. They wouldn't give up! The one on the left was untouched and you can see just a bit of yellow left on the right. The 2 together look beautiful even after having their tops bitten off!
My Heartleaf Bergenia is in full bloom. I like plants with interesting leaves to add color even when the blooms are gone. This plant certainly fills the bill. The burgundy and green leathery leaves stay green all year.
The Barrenwort is also blooming. I love this delicate looking plant but have never found any others, maybe this year. Because the blooms are above the leaves they are sometimes called 'dancing faeries'. Look closely at the leaves and you can see they are bordered in burgundy.
They look like a miniature columbine to me.
The neighbors dark purple lilac is beginning to bloom. It's a very old tree that I trimmed for years. I'm afraid it won't last much longer since it is never taken care of now.
I just got a white bleeding heart last year for my expanded shade garden. I'm excited to see a few delicate blooms.
The Burgandy Glow Ajuga is certainly standing tall. This clump is in the shade garden also. It grows just about everywhere and spreads continually. I don't really care about the blooms but like it for a ground cover.
Another new shade plant is the Foamflower, Tiarella. This is another plant I would like more of. According to my books there are several varieties with interesting leaves. It grows well with only partial shade.

After being quite dry still for spring, we had a great rain yesterday. The grass is green and the plants are filling in nicely. I'm looking forward to seeing your spring 'bloomers'!
