Not again!

I'm sure those that have been reading my blog for awhile will remember this post when I had water running down my bedroom wall and this post where I redid my bedroom. I was told by a roofer that he thought all I needed to do was tar the area of the roof and it would take care of my problem. I did that a couple weeks ago.
Well, last week we had a lot of heavy rain and wind. On Friday I noticed this! I was too upset to take pictures right away but I had huge bubbles full of water on the wall.
Another call to the roofer and he came over to look on Sunday. He searched the whole roof and the upstairs but couldn't find anything wrong. The only solution was to tear off the shingles in that area and see if he could find the problem. The roofer I had do the whole roof 9 years ago had put down roof paper over the area where the deck roof was attached to the house roof, that had a huge hole in it. I forgot to get a picture of the spot that was so messed up. He didn't even level that area off so there was almost a channel for the water to run in.My son took the day off to help his buddy fix it.
I'm almost afraid to say this again but that should be the end of the water feature in my bedroom! I will have to tear down the wall but I'm going to wait until spring so the wood has a chance to really dry out. This better be my last post about a leaky roof!

Oh nooooo, look what it did to your wall again:-( You had it decorated so nicely too! I do remember that post you mention and I know how you were hoping it was going to be the last of your water leaking problems. Hopefully it HAS been fixed now!! xoxo

Oh dear, that is such an awful thing to have happen. I know. The same thing happened when our roof was redone. I think it took a couple of times before it was fixed, but we never had another problem. Be sure to keep an eye out for mold, though Jean. That can be a real problem, and you'll want to catch it early.

Best wishes to you.

Oh no! How horrible. I sure hope you have found the root of the problem. Hope you can just redo the one wall and don't have to do the whole room. Yikes!
