Guess!

Can you guess from this picture what we did this weekend?
The girls stayed overnight Sat and we made cut out cookies just for them.

We had a great time!

The girls were really into it as you can tell.
Mommy came over on Sunday and we made 5 more kinds. The girls put frosting and much sugar on their cookies.

A Few More..

My kitchen is quite full of snowmen so I thought I'd share some more with you today.
This is a picture that I painted a few years ago.
The glass door cupboard.

I also painted this pic.

I found this awesome clock at Tuesday Morning for 10 dollars. I love the size and muted colors. I didn't realize until I put batteries in that it plays Christmas music every hour.

My daughter made this piece for me.

Snowman tree.

I think that's the end of the snowmen for this year. I hope you're not tired of seeing them.

Cupboard Toppers

I had a perm cancel so had time to play with the camera and computer so now I can download pictures. These snowpeople are on top of my kitchen cupboards.
Snowballs, lights and old bulbs in a jar and even a snowman in a jar.
(Click picture to enlarge)
I put my barbwire tree up here too this year.

Jars filled with snowballs and tree balls.

The cupboard isn't flush at the top so I add a piece of wood and hot glue the holly to the cupboard tops to hide the wood. I'll keep this display up all winter or until I'm sick of snow. (Which could be tomorrow! LOL!)

Just stuff!

I had to share this picture of a great Christmas gift for that hunting hubby! This is about how I feel but I have a foot instead of a door bell.
I haven't posted because I can't get my pictures off my camera. I can't figure out why. That's just one more problem in a bad couple weeks. I was diagnosed with a heel spur and it is very painful. The best cure is to stay off my feet, like that's possible!
We have had another foot and a half of snow! 50+ inches in Dec already! Yesterday morning I went out to shovel and discovered someone had stolen my snow blower!
I finally started wrapping 150 gifts. All the large ones are done so tonight I'll work on the stocking stuffers.
The lake effect snow has finally stopped. Today will be a better day!

The Tree!

I got a skinnier tree this year to fit better in the dining room. I decorate my tree with memories rather than to go with the decor.
Bead ornaments made by my Mom over the years.

Vintage ornaments that remind me of some we had when I was young and glass icicles in place of the plastic ones we had.

Birds and bubble lights that I remember from my Grandma and Grandpa's tree.

Special pieces made or given by friends and family.

Topped this year with a vintage angel I found at a sale.

How do you decorate your tree? Do you use a color, theme or memories, like me?

Mr Claus

I've filled my corner cupboard in the living room with Santas this year.
The top shelf holds some of my smaller figurines.

The Mr and Mrs Claus on the right and the reindeer in the back left were both made of beads, by my Mom.

The taller Santa on the middle shelf is made of cardboard. The half Santa is a candy holder. I remember having the smallest plastic Santa when I was young so I had to have that one.

Two Santa candles, a candy box and a vintage roly poly Santa.

The bottom shelf holds larger figurines. The left Santa is one we had when I was young.

Newer figurines.

More on top, including a Norman Rockwell vintage puzzle my Mom had.

Guarding the cupboard is a one of a kind old world Santa I got at a church auction several years ago.

I really enjoy searching household sales and flee markets for more vintage Santas to add to my collection.
