Garbage Detail

When I went out after dark to put the garbage out last night his bunch of Evening Prim Roses were blooming like crazy.  I'm sure the neighbors wondered if I was crazy taking pictures in the
dark!

It's Bloomin' Tuesday!

 Welcome!
We are still hoping for some good soaking rain.  70% chance tomorrow!
The dry weather hasn't slowed down the Dead Nettle around the tree in the shade garden.  It had spread a couple feet past the brick circling the tree so I pulled out tons of it earlier this spring.
This Clematis climbing up the sides to an old iron crib is putting on a great show in spite of the heat.  (Mid to high 80's and that is not normal for Memorial weekend in New York!)
One of my favorites is blooming in the front garden. I love these mulleins!  They are such soft colors.
They just seem to have an old fashion look to me.
The sidewalk garden has some blue going on with Siberian Iris and Blue balloon flowers.
The driveway garden is brimming with dianthus! There are dark purple and white behind the red, that have not bloomed yet.   Then moss roses and cranesbill geranium. A purple Clematis climbs the trellis in back.
The first plant is this lovely white fringed dianthus.
I trust you all had a nice holiday weekend and had lots of time to take pictures of your gardens so you could join the tour.  Remember to add your name and permalink to Mr Linky and add a link to this post on your Bloomin' Tuesday post.

It's Bloomin' Tuesday!

Welcome!
We have had summer like weather this week. The garden is desperate for some rain and we're supposed to get some starting tonight. I'm slowly getting the gardens weeded and the garden art in place. I'm getting slower every year but there is really no hurry.
This is another Azalea bush.  This was in front all tangled in the other one when I bought the house..  It's back beside the shed now.  The Blomin' Tuesday button was taken of the Clematis behind the bush several years ago.
Beautiful rose like blooms.
Star of Bethlehem just pops up anywhere it feels like.
My white bleeding heart has a few blooms this year.  I've moved it a few times but love it beside the dark burgundy Coral Bells.  I'm sure it will do better every year now that I have found a perfect spot for it.
I enlarged the shade garden 4 years ago and it is really flourishing this year!
I love the purple and white Iris.  I only had 2 last year but I thinned them out and now I have several.
My favorite this week are the Jack-in-the-Pulpit.  I have 2 bunches of them.  You really have to look for the blooms but they are well worth looking for.
These plants were all dug up from the local woods. Each plant is really full of blooms this year.
There you have my gardens for this week.  Once we get the rain I'm sure everything will pop!
You know the drill, name, state and permalink.  Please don't forget to link your post to this post.

It's Bloomin' Tuesday

 Welcome!
I'm going to start this week with a pet peeve of mine.  I started Bloomin' Tuesday to share garden photos with every day trial and error gardeners like me.  I have enjoyed doing this for several years. It seems the new trend for a couple years is to see how many followers we can get.  Personally, I don't care!  I don't enjoy being a vehicle for those bloggers that are using Bloomin' Tuesday for that purpose. I get very irritated when I go to a blog that does one post a week and has a list of parties they are involved in for the week.  I ask that you put a link to my blog just so your followers can enjoy and possibly join our tour. I used to comment on every post I went to, now I comment on those that leave me a comment.  I'm sorry if some of you are offended but it is my blog and I can do as I wish.  I'm also sorry I found it necessary to post this on Tuesday but I know that most of the guilty ones are only here on Bloomin' Tuesday.
Today we are in the front of my house. This narrow garden is to the left of my driveway. The flowering Burgundy Glo is right at the edge of my line.  Payton and Jerzie gave me the 2 blooming dianthus for Mother's Day.  They were perfect because some of the ones I had here have given up after several years.
I put this garden along the front right sidewalk in last year.  I put in the edging and mulched this year.  I found the iron porch railing at a household sale for 15 dollars and I have a lightening rods at each end.
This garden is to the right of the driveway.(I should have shown this one before the last one).  I cemented the rustic ladder (another household sale find) in place and planted a Clematis to grow on it.  The purple patch is creeping phlox.
I love this Bitterroot, Lewisia x cotyledon but I planted 6 and only 2 survived.
This is a low growing geranium but I'm not sure of the name.
Columbine.
These are all in this garden area.  You can see way in the back where I ran out of mulch.
Lilies-of-the-Valley that I talked about last week, under the front bushes.
I planted Gout Weed with it because that's what my Gramma had by the back door.  If you enlarge the picture you can see that there are white and pink blooms.
A few other plants that are blooming out back are wild Columbine,
the same Clematis as last week but more blooms,
 a spring favorite, Solomon Seal,
and Candy Cane Creeping Phlox.
To join the party, please add your name and permalink to Mr Linky and add a link to this post on your blog.
Happy Gardening!

It's Bloomin' Tuesday!

 Welcome!
Today I thought I'd take you for a walk around my yard.
This is a new Anemone I got last year.  I'm really not sure what it is because the tag was wrong.  I didn't have any like this that bloom in spring so what ever it is, I'm happy to have it.
This Anemone is in a small shade area in the back of my house.
This shade garden is doing well.  It's in the far back corner of my lot. If you click the picture to enlarge it, you can see the white Trillium is turning pink now.  To the left front, by the rock is creeping Foam Flower blooming.
In the left back corner you can see the Jack Frost Brunera.  If you look close you can see the tiny blue blooms that resemble forget-me-knots.
I love the way this Soft Needle Fern unfurls!
In the opposite back corner of the yard, the Clematis that climbs the ladder to the shed roof is beginning to bloom.  It is just full of blooms this year.
This bed is on the other side of the shed and next to my neighbors garage.  There are a few Iris blooming but they are very small this year.  It's funny how differently the plants respond to unseasonal weather.  Before long the rusty wheelbarrow will be buried under perennial Sweet Peas.
The large side garden is filling up.  Right now, there are just volunteer blue forget-me-knots and white wood hyacinths
This Spurge is in the front garden along the walkway. It stayed green all winter and is full of blooms.
I love the bright green blooms with the red centers!
Coming to the front door you can see this beautiful Azalea bush and smell the Lilies-of-the-Valley that grow under the bush.  They are not really open yet but that doesn't stop them from sharing their lovely scent.
That's what is going on in my yard this week.  What's going on in yours?  Add your name and permalink to Mr Linky to share your garden with us.  Please, remember to post this link on your blog.
Happy Bloomin' Tuesday!
