Something different

I thought I'd try something different for supper tonight. I do potatoes a lot more in the summer because I like them on the grill . Quick, easy and no pan to wash! Tonight I tried a yam on the grill. I pealed it.Cut it into slices and added a little margarine.
Wrapped it in foil and put it on the grill for about a half hour.
Add a little butter and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Yummy! A tossed salad and a glass of milk and supper is ready.
If you like baked yams you'll love it!

In the UK we call them sweet potatoes. I use them all the time -roasted, fried or mashed. I have even planted and can't wait to harvest them.
Thanks for sharing this way of cooking them.

The yams look yummy ... I'll have to give them a try. I just tried frozen fries on the grill ... wrapped in foil & sprinkled with a bit of olive oil... they came out delicious.
