This is where my fountain goes. The first thing I have to do is dig a hole.
Not really! I just have to uncover the hole. 
I put a piece of wood over it for the winter and throw some mulch on it.
Now I put the 5 gallon plastic pail in the hole. The pail is covered with screen to help keep the water clean. There is a piece of plastic pipe in there to set the cups on and, of course, the pump .
Next, I cover the pail with plastic canvas. This supports the river rock that covers the pail.
The pot has a hole in the bottom for the plastic tubing the water flows thru. There is a piece of metal strapping bolted to the pot and nailed to the 2x4 to make the pot tip.
The enamelware cups are stacked on a speckled enamelware pie plate and secured together with caulk. Then I put dirt, pine bark mulch and rocks to cover anything I don't want seen.
The stones under the pot are left over from when my Grandpa built the fireplace in their house over 50 years ago. My aunt found them in their attic and no one else in the family wanted them. I also put some glass stars in with the stones. This is now my red, white and blue garden (except when something else sprouts there and I don't have the heart to pull it out!) because it's under my flag. The pictures for the banner are from before it became red, white and blue.

That is the cutest fountain! What a good place to put it so everyone notices it as they walk up the steps.

I love the sound of water in the garden and have a small pond and waterfall. I have a small fountain on the front porch and have always wanted to try and make one of the watering can fountains you see out and about.
Oh, now I see. Thanks for posting this. I have got to give this a try.
Tell me something... my dad wants to build a water feature using his well (which looks like the old fashioned wells with a little peaked roof, and a bucket on a rope) and he wants the water to trickle down into an old syrup kettle. Can you tell me where to find ideas or photos on how to accomplish this? Thanks for any advice.
