I've been wanting to join Traci and friends for Cottage Flora Thursday for awhile now but never get to it. Today I'm going to show you a new garden area I'm working on.
The grass in this area of my front lawn wasn't growing very well so, of course, I decided I might as well extend the garden! I dug off all the sod last weekend .
I started some planting but was stopped by the weather. I took the garden pictures this morning and I want you to notice the sunshine! We haven't seen any of this since last Saturday.
I got the 'ladder' at a household sale. I cemented it in the ground and planted a clematis to grow on it.
I used some old croquet mallets and balls for the corners along with a primrose.
I added some hyacinth bulbs I got for Easter and a few miniature daffodil bulbs. I put my kid statues beside the ladder. That's all the planting I have done so far. This area gets morning and evening shade so I'll need to be careful what I plant. I would love to get out and work today but I have to work at the paying job and it is only about 40 degrees.

Lots of work but fun work. I love the new garden. I love the garden art. The ladder is a good idea and looks nice. Can't wait to see what else you set out there.
I love what you have done here! And the little kids are a bonus.
What fun to be designing a new garden--I know it is going to look fabulous!
So fun for you to design a new garden! Can't wait to see what you share next? Thanks so much for joining Fishtail Cottage's, Cottage Flora Thursday's! xoxo, tracie
