Welcome!
Thanks to all the new gardeners we are getting every week and to all the faithful that have been posting week after week!Luckily I still have plenty of blooms in spite of the very heavy frost we had last night. I wanted to show you the Bergengia from last week again so you could see how tall the flower stalks have grown.
This lilac is my neighbors and I love the dark color. This lilac does not have the wonderful lilac scent but I only get to look at it anyway so it doesn't matter to me.
A couple of my allium have bloomed this season. They didn't do well at all last year.
The bloom on my peony tree is a beautiful pink.
Even the holly bush is in bloom! I love it when there are still berries when it blooms.
The azalea out front is at it's peak right now. Lilies of the valley and gout weed are planted under it and the scent is amazing.

Clumps of bachelor buttons are every where. I just pull them out where I don't want them.

Jean, all your photos are gorgeous this week. You have so many scrumptious things blooming. My favorite though, is that picture of the azalea and lilies of the valley. It couldn't be prettier! After a long winter, this is just what I need to rejuvenate!
Frost? Wow. Our night time lows are running around 80!
The azalea so pretty, especially with the complementing plants below. Do the lillies of the valley perfume the area?

Your blooms are fantastic! I wonder if Solomon Seal would grow here, what a great looking plant!
Loving your pastels today, that close up of the Solomon's seal is exactly why I want one someday.
Hi Jean,
Your lilac is heavenly, and where did you find those lily of the valley? I can never find them here in Georgia. I found them once and bought a package of pips, planted them, and they never even sprouted. What's your secret? And I adore that solomons seal too. It grows wild on my parents property, so I collected lots for my garden, and it is just gorgeous.
Happy tuesday!
Teresa
LOVE the azaleas! I miss them from when I used to live in Louisiana. We can't grow them here, so thanks for the vicarious tour!
I am so glad that I stumbled upon your blog via Darla at Family and flowers. Maybe by next week, the rain will have stopped here in Florida, and I will be able to join your Tuesday! Your photos are absolutely beautiful. So many things that I miss from the North.
I am pleased to meet you.
Sue.
Lovely pictures, Jean. I still have bleeding hearts in bloom, but nothing else so far. Our weather has been pretty cool, but this week is looking more promising as far as warmer temps.
I love the Solomon Seal-it reminds me of Lily of the Valley-which I planted but it never came up. The lilacs are my all time favorite-they are just gorgeous!
Beautiful photos. I love the Solomon Seal. I have never seen one before. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Elizabeth
What a beautiful azaela bush! I can see why you love the Solomon Seal. It's lovely.
Beautiful! Don't you love this time of year in the garden? The Solomon Seal is beautiful! ~~Rhonda
I can't believe I did that! I forgot to sign up on Mr. Linky. Rats. And I had everything posted on my blog. I'm sorry!!
I love your garden pics, Jean. The Solomon's Seal has got to be my favorite. I wonder if that grows around here?
Hi Jean ~ I've been out of town and just catching up on your posts. I have some Solomon's Seal but it sure hasn't bloomed like yours! It's beautiful! By the way, I had to let you know that right after I posted a comment about my money plant not coming up yet... I saw beginnings and now they are healthy and coming up great! I just replanted in the corner of my garden. Thank you again so much.. now I have a reminder of you in NY when these plants bloom!
