What do you do when you can't find the color eggs you want? Paint them! I put 2 coats of acrylic paint on my bright colored plastic eggs. Much better. The paint rubs off easy but they work great for what I wanted.Gotta have birds with those eggs.
A little spring added to my corner cupboard,
a touch...
or two to the dining room.
The mantle will probably remain the same until fall. I made the fern window, the hydrangea wreath and the drawer/box on the right of this picture. Click on the words to see how they were done.
Since there was no Show and Tell this week I decided to join in Project Friday. Go visit Sugarplum Cottage for more Project Friday posts.

Cute! I always wonder how you have enough time to do all the crafty stuff and decorate all the time.... you are a very busy lady!
What a great idea, I wonder if you sealed them with MOd Podge or sprayed them with clear sealer, the paint would stay on? I actually bought some large eggs that were the soft blues and natural colors, paid $10 for 12, wish I'd thought of this. Thank you for joining me for Project Friday, so glad to have you. Happy Easter, Rosemarie

Hi Jean,
It's nice to meet you and thank you for visiting my Project Friday. :)
Your project is such a good idea. Those plastic egg colors are not really pretty for decorating but your redos are. Thanks for the tip. ;)
Happy Easter and hugs & blessings,
~Katherine~
How clever of you-- how patient of you. These turned out so pretty... I have to now wonder why they make those plasticeggs in such garish colors. Hmmmm.... something to think about.
