Show and Tell

I worked on my corner cabinet from last weeks Show and Tell this week. First I painted it cream. I have a TV cabinet and tall candle chest in the living room that are also painted cream.I wanted to line the back of the shelves because they were wood but I didn't want anything permanent. I found this peel and stick fabric at Big Lots for $1.50 a roll and loved the idea! I love ferns and my walls are soft green so the design was perfect.I decided to use some green glass that I had and, of course, I needed some birds. The glasses are from my daughters wedding. The glass dish is filled with green and soft peach beach glass. Laurie gave me the bird for Christmas.
I moved my little dome with the bird onto my Great Aunt's cake plate and added some little floral ash trays of my Grandma's.I had this green glass bowl filled with feather balls on another table. I got the colored pansy doilies from a blogger on Flea Market Friday awhile ago.
I know I'll be changing this at times but I'm happy with how it came out using what I had around the house.

Hi Jean, the cabinet looks great and that paper looks wonderful with those green dishes. Its nice to see the inside of your home rather than your garden all the time on Blooming Tuesday!

Such pretty green plates and other things. Looks so good with the fabric backing. I may have to go to big lots and see if I can find some of that here!!

You did a great job! I am itching for a change in my red cabinet. I did scrapbooking paper with double sided tape in rosy pink flower theme. I need something for fall and winter now.

I have that same problem. All pictures are of Lola now! HA! Guess we've got it bad!
