It's Bloomin' Tuesday!

Welcome! My balloon flowers have been blooming for several weeks and are still going strong. You can tell by these 2 pictures why they are called balloon flowers.
There are several types of balloon flowers that range from 6 inches tall to mine which are about 4 feet tall.

When I got them several years ago I had no idea they would be so tall but I'm glad they are.
They are perfect mixed in with the black eyed Susansand they add nice height to the garden. The black eyed Susans are pretty much done blooming but that's okay. The pretty, blue balloon flowers can also stand alone.
If you would like to join our garden tour and show us what's bloomin' where you are planted, just add your name and permalink to Mr Linky. Remember it is best to use the permalink so the link will take you to the specific post in the archives. Please, add a link to this post on your blog so all your friends can enjoy the tour.

I have the more compact type but I love your tall ones Jean. They do look nice combined with the Blackeyed Susans. My boys always liked to pop the blossoms before they opened. :) I should have my post up soon. Happy Bloomin Tuesday!

Hello Jean, I love your Blackeyed Susans and your Balloon Flowers. I remember my Mom had some and I use to pop them and I would get yelled at! I love the combination of the two colors together. It looks stunning!
Happy Blooming Tuesday!

Baloon flowers are so interesting. They look good closed and opened, and they sure look great with the Black-eyed Susans. I didn't know they came in several varieties.

I really love the combination of the rudbeckia and balloon flowers together. Was that planned or a happy gardening moment? I had a Happy gardening moment last year when a double pink hollyhock came up through my blue mist shrub! I love it when those things happen :-) Rosie

I love the blue with the yellow! I love how Balloon flowers are so delicate looking. Sadly, I've never been able to grow them. I just can't find a spot where they're happy.

Yellow and purple is one of my favorite combination in a garden. These two flowers are beautiful. I'm not sure I've ever seen balloon flowers. Love them!

I'm in St. Louis with grandbaby and will get home tomorrow. I have a week to get the wedding preps finalized and then we are off to Utah for the wedding. I will make sure I get that tote off this next week. Thanks for being patient! I appreciate it so much!

Good morning. I just found you through Rosie's Whimsy. I don't know if I have much still blooming right now, but I shall go out with my camera in a little while and see. I shall bookmark you and return. Love gardening!

Jean ~ I'm not sure I've seen balloon flowers any place other than a gardening book...not in a "real person's garden!" :) Yours are lovely! I don't have much blooming at all, but I'm posting fall's bounty--gourds from the garden.
