Last year, for my birthday I got a shrub rose. My daughter and son-in-law gave me this Knockout Rose thanks to blogging. Then over the winter it ended up being a free lunch for the rabbits.
There wasn't much left of this large bush when the bunnies got done.
Apparently, that wasn't a bad thing!
This is my rose bush today! It is full of beautiful blooms! I wonder if I can get the rabbits to come eat it this winter. Maybe if I put up a sign that says

Wow, Jean, that is amazing! The rose is just beautiful. I guess those rabbits know how to prune roses.
What a great pruning job they did! HA!
I planted a Knock Out climber called Morning Magic this year but the weather has been either so cold or so hot and it really doesn't look so spectacular right now. Hope the bunnies come and work their magic on mine this winter :-)
((hugs)) Rosie
Hi Jean,
The Knock-out rose has become very popular. I bought several last year and added a few more this year! It's a great little shrub rose and has such an amazing abundance of blooms!! I have some pink ones and some red ones, and both kinds are terrific bloomers!

What a beautiful Rose and a cute story!!! I guess the rabbits have their own method of pruning!!!
Holy Cow!! Your rose bush is amazing. I will have to see about getting one or two of those.
What a beautiful rose! I guess the rabbits did you a favor!
Beautiful roses...you never know how the weather (or the animals) will effect the bushes from one season till the next.
