Green Thumb Sunday

I saw this morning glory on a neighbor's front porch. I've never seen one with stripes before.
Does anyone know if this is a special morning glory or just a fluke? Whatever the reason it was pretty!
Today I'm showing another Anemone.
It is doing very well this year although the foliage isn't very full.
The tag in the pot said it was an Anemones Pamina but in my book it looks more like a Anemone hupehensis var. japonica.
It doesn't really matter to me what the name is. It grows well, blooms in fall when a lot of other blooms are gone and I like it so, that's all that matters!
I just visited Shabby in the City and she has a MUST SEE video posted. Please check it out and be blessed.

Hi Jean!
Your photos are beautiful...the flowers are so delicate, and fragile looking! Great job...I have to say I am like you...not so much into the info on the flower or plant, just enjoy what works and is so pretty in our yards!

Hi Jean, this morning glory is lovely. Do they grow in shade?

Happy GTS. I love the blue morning glory.

Lovely flower photos. The morning glory is probably a hybrid of some sort. There are hundreds to choose from in a myriad of colors, so I think it's anyone's guess!

'Pambina' is a special variety of Anemone hupehensis var. japonica so the tag is correct. ;-)

I'm so glad your 'Pambina' has flowered so I can see what it looks like. Mine are still in bud.

Jean, cool morning glory! I've never seen one like that but I just googled it and it appears to be a cultivar called "Flying Saucers." Very nice!

I love blue morning glories. Mine are just about finished this year and I've already been collecting seeds.

It's so nice to see a blue morning glory again (like we had out east in Ontario). Here out West we only have white ones. I've never seen a variegated one like yours.
