Fava bean?

A couple years ago one of my customers asked me if I was growing fava beans. You would have to know me well to know that I cannot eat a lima bean or any bean larger, such as butter beans or fava beans. I will eat around lima beans if I somehow get something with them in. As you can probably guess, I was not growing fava beans! This is what she thought was a fava bean.
You can sort of judge the size of these beans by the size of the ants.
Since you seemed to enjoy my last mystery I thought I would give you another.

What plant is growing these beans?
I thought I would leave you with my only household sale purchase. I purple doily. Since I have a purple bedroom, there was no way I could leave it there! Doesn't it look great under my little beaded lamp?

I have doilies from my grandmother - I love them! That purple is great - and I love your lamp.
That bean looks similar to my scarlet runner beans - but honestly, they all look alike to me!

I have never seen a bean like that.
It kind of looks like some kind of seed pod from a vine or something.
It's not a trumpet vine is it?

What is it about lima beans? Ick -- otherwise I LOVE beans... but these are a mystery to me... Is it from a "cigar" tree?

Oh, my Dirty Dish Fountain, inspired by your tea cup fountain, is done and blogged about.

I'm glad your not growing fava beans because every time I hear that word I think of haniable lector from silence of the lambs *shudder*. The bean is a pod of some kind. I know it opens into a flower. I am just not sure what they are called. Oh and I love the purple doily
