It's Bloomin' Tuesday!

 Welcome!
Our town is a town full of Rhododendrons.  You can't go down a single street without seeing some.  For some reason, they are more beautiful than ever this season.  Just to prove that, I took a walk down my street.  Keep in mind that I live in the middle of a short street with the highest house number being 45.  I only walked in one direction.
This first house is across the street slightly to the right.

I must admit that this house is on the next street over but I couldn't resist it!  The first huge bush is a pale lavender.  The last you can only see slightly is light pink.
I have never seen a bloom on a Rhodie so beautiful! Amazing, isn't it?
Confession time,  I do not have a Rhododendron or a desire to own one unless I could find a lavender one!
To be a part of the Bloomin' Tuesday tour just add your name and permalink to Mr Linky and add a link to this post on your blog.

Wow! I've never been a fan of rhodies, but I've never seen blooms like that either! I think I've changed my mind! Gorgeous!

The Rhodos are fab. Not a plant in our dry arid area but love to see them when visiting the coast.

I have ONE rhodie and it is one of the small ones the landscapers planted when we bought the house. It is a lovely pink and since it is small it gets to stay. I had way too many years dealing with those monsters where I used to live! I do love the wild ones in the woods tho--

Of all the years I've been gardening I've only had one rhodie...and that was during our ten years living in Williamsburg. It was planted at the corner of the house right by the gutter where it literally drowned! That's the only thing I could figure out. I love all the pictures you took - beautiful flowers.

What a fun prompt...I think I will have to play along next week. In the meantime, here is a glimpse of my garden from last week: http://lifeinthemicro.blogspot.com/2013/06/catherine-catherine-how-does-your.html
