Welcome!
Here we are after another hot, humid rainless week. We did get a little during one night and it rained all around me Sat night and today. My grass is all brown and even some of the fall plants are starting to turn brown. My Clematis haven't bloomed like normal this year. Usually the whole vine is covered with blossoms. This year they have been blooming a couple at a time. This one Dr. Ruppel, climbs up a metal crib side under the deck.
The rabbits decided the Pink Champagne needed to be cut back this year. I went out in the spring to untwist it and I ended up with a 'tumbleweed' in my hand! I've been wanting it to climb onto the roof of the shed for years and this is the first time it's gotten close. The bloom from this one is in the
button for Bloomin' Tuesday.
The purple one was given to me and I don't know the name. It is the only one that bloomed normal and it's out front.
I do like the purple color of this one. I'm very excited that I found an Autumn Clematis this year. I've been looking for a few years now. I can't wait t0 see if it blooms this fall.

Beautiful clematis and the color is my favorite.
I like that purple and white clematis that was given to you, too. Our heat advisories are over, but it's still hot here. I hope you get some relief soon.
I really like how you have the Clematis growing up that weathered ladder on the shed. They are all quite pretty.
I hope you get some relief from the heat soon.
Never seen a purple clematis before. It's lovely!
Lovely clematis, mine are not doing as well as usual either! Love the gifted one so pretty...... Lets hope for a bit more rain , very dry and brown here too.
One bloom at a time or loaded with blooms, clematis vines are one of my favorite vines!
That single purple flower is stunning!
The Clematis are beautiful, even with the dry weather. I have an old fashioned autumn clematis that has little tiny while flowers on it starting at the end of the summer.
I plan to put a clematis in the spot where I had morning glories this year. I wasn't impressed with them at all and think it would be better to have a perrenial vine there.
Your clematis if gorgeous. They just don't seem to grow well here in So. Cal. Maybe too hot. I don't know.
Sorry to hear your gardens are suffering. Believe me we know what it's like and it ain't pretty. But your clematis is beautiful. Hope you get some wet stuff soon.
If it's any consolation, your clematis looks significantly better than mine EVER has. Beautiful!
I'm with you and all the suffering plants this year. It hasn't been pretty at all :(
ah, clematis are gorgeous! Very pretty.
