Welcome!
Today I'm going to show you my side garden. This garden is to the right of my house, the walkway is to the beauty shop. Now that the Lupines and Bachelor Buttons are
done I have lots of yellow.
I dug things out of this garden last year and love finding blooms I forgot I planted like this Globeflower, Golden Queen.
It has an orange tint and shows up well against the Yellow Loosestrife,
I discovered this Gallery Red Lupine on the far side of the garden, next to my neighbors driveway. The pink behind it is a volunteer foxglove.
This shot is looking done from the top of the garden. The white flowers are Beard Tongue, Husker Red. The stems are reddish and the blooms are really a very light pink inside. A friend gave me money years ago when my Grandmother died and told me to by a plant. I got this because my Grandma loved red and the my friend loved white flowers.
Some of the Beard Tongue decided to move to the bottom of the garden with daisies and yellow Sundrops.
I found this Dianthus, Heart Attack last year. I love the color! The pink you see in this picture is from a Cranesbill Geranium that has spread here and there throughout this wild garden.
This shot is the true color.

As you can see I love color! In my mind there is no clashing in the garden. If you'd like to show me your colors, just add your name and permalink to Mr Linky and add link on your blog to this post. We'd love to see what's bloomin' this week where you are.

Hi Jean,
Your side garden with all its pretty color is beautiful! I love the last picture of your Dianthus. Thank you for hosting.
I remember D. Heart attack from last year. It's such a vibrant red.
I am admiring that red lupine, too. I usually see pastels in lupines. You always find the greatest flowers!
This is a very bright area. I love all the colors here.
How Bright and cheery is your side garden... Love the dianthus Heart Attack very rich colour.
Hi Jean! Love that heart attack color on the dianthus. And I've never heard of Beard Tongue! You have some different plants in your garden--all are beautiful!
I haven't heard of some of the beauties you have. I wonder if they only grow further north. Your garden looks so sunny with all that yellow!
Your blossoms are lovely! I love color in the garden too...I'm linking up today for the first time and sharing lovely rose covered picket fences from New England. I'll come back next week with blooms from my garden!I'm waiting for some things to really pop!
Happy summer,
Deb
You have a beautiful garden. You must have a green thumb. I love to garden but I can never remember names of plants except for the more common ones. I will have to visit you more often to learn. I will try to remember to link up with you...Christine

Jean,
The dianthus is a great color! Stunning.
I didn't know there was yellow loosestrife. I've only seen the purple. Love it.
The colors and the textures and extravagance of all of it together is wonderful!
Love the pic you used for your header Jean! Happy Summer:@)
your garden is looking lovely, I had to pick peonies before the rain set in today!
Everything is so green and so pretty!
I live in the High Desert and work hard to get anything 'green'.
