Welcome!
It's Bloomin' Tuesday and I have actual blooms this week!
The Burgundy Glow Ajuga is a mass of purple today. As you can see this is on the side of the driveway, which is in front of my house.

On the other side, in front, my Azalea is beautiful this year! The color looks so vibrant against the newly painted house.
Even the holly bush next to it is full of tiny white blooms. There should be lots of berries this fall too.
Under these 2 bushes are grout weed and lilies-of-the-valley. My Grandma had these 2 plants outside her back door so I had to have the same combination.
As you round the corner there are more lilies-of-the-valley but these are pink.
I never knew there were pink ones but one of my customers gave them to me. Of course, the scent is amazing!
Going down the gravel stairs to the beauty shop you get another lovely scent. The wood hyacinth are in bloom.
Most of them are white but I do have a few purple here and there.
The Solomon Seal in the shade garden is over 4 feet tall . I love the 'grace' of this plant. The header is a close up.
The variegated don't get as tall as the other but they are just as pretty. They don't get as much sun so that may be the reason. Click the pic to get a better view. They are between the fern on the left and the hosta on the right.
Here you can see the white 'bells' under the leaf.

This shot was taken a day ago..
...and this one today.
I like the tree because it doesn't droop in the rain as the old fashion ones do.

Hooray for blooms, your garden is popping now Jean! I love that Tree Peony, must find a spot for one in my garden. :)
Jean, love the blooms! Isnt it exciting to see whats new in the garden every day?
That azalea is a beauty! I have two the same color, they have not quite bloomed yet. They have never looked as good as yours.
You have a fortune in lily of the valley flowers. From the royal wedding I learned that they are the most expensive flower to use for a bouquet because each tiny stem has to be wired. Florists find them extremely difficult to work with. Just a bit of morning trivia for you. :)
Love ajuga, I just picked some of the flowers to use in a tulip bouquet.
Finally after your very long winter your blooms are looking beautiful!
Love the pink lily of the valley! We need a little more sunshine and a little less rain here in Philly! Congrats and best wishes to you and your family at this exciting time:@)
You have so much blooming in your garden.... Love the title solomons seal.
I love seeing all that new growth Jean. Your place is coming along so nicely. Love the solomons seal.
Beautiful gardens....great photos. I've added my name to your list. If you get a chance, check out my gardens...Sherron
You've got some gorgeous stuff bloomin' there! Thanks for hosting this bloomin' party!
Congratulations Jean. I'm so excited for Laurie and hubby. Praying for a wonderful pregnancy.
Hi Jean,
I enjoyed your blooms. I don't think I've seen pink lily of the valley. I am up past my bed time, so I'll have to check out your daughter's blog. I do see from Becca's comment that you are expecting a grandchild. Cool! I have 2 now. I'm thinking you already have some, too. Is that right?
Hi Jean ~ I'm late for the party! Maybe next week i can be on time! I love your blooms...I've never seen pink lily of the valley either. And I love your Solomon's seal banner--beautiful. Congratulations on another coming grandchild!
