The Tree!

I got a skinnier tree this year to fit better in the dining room. I decorate my tree with memories rather than to go with the decor.
Bead ornaments made by my Mom over the years.

Vintage ornaments that remind me of some we had when I was young and glass icicles in place of the plastic ones we had.

Birds and bubble lights that I remember from my Grandma and Grandpa's tree.

Special pieces made or given by friends and family.

Topped this year with a vintage angel I found at a sale.

How do you decorate your tree? Do you use a color, theme or memories, like me?

I have (or had) bubble lights. We used the bubble lights when we put up a real tree. We have been putting up an artificial tree since 2005. We can't use the bubble lights on the artificial tree. I always liked the bubble lights. Your tree is very pretty. Our tree's ornaments, too, hold memories for us.

I remember those bubble lights. Beautiful ornaments and I know you treasure them like I do mine. I use my memory ornaments each year. I have been thinking about doing something different next year though.

Pretty tree, sweet memories. I'm not decorating much this year as I probably will be gone to NY,.

Your tree looks wonderful Jean. I do the same as you, decorate using ornaments we've made over the years, or those handed down to me from my mother.

Hi Jean,
It looks like you are really going all out decorating this year. . . it's all beautiful!

I like theme trees, but I really do appreciate those who decorate with memories. I just don't have many family heirlooms to use...actually I have only a few items that my son made. That's what happens when you have just one child!
