Welcome! I really love the colors of this sunflower Jerzie grew. We planted all the seeds left over from last year so I'm not sure what it's called.
I bought 2 of this plant in a very little pot at the beginning of the season. I went back for more but they didn't have any. I it a relative of the sun drops and evening prim rose. The 2 stems have bloomed off and on all summer. I sure hope they make it thru the winter!
I had to show you my Dianthis, Heart Attack now that it's blooming. I love the dark color and also the burgundy in the leaves.
The next pictures are all Astilbe. They didn't bloom for long this year because it has been so hot and dry but they were pretty when they did. I had too much blooming at the same time and never showed them.
If you click on this one to enlarge it you will see little tiny purple dots on it. I never knew they were there!

If you missed my seed post this week, I want to let you know I have perennial Sweet Pea and Foxglove seeds if you are interested. Just e-mail me your address. I see that our numbers are getting smaller and would like to take a poll to see how many of you are interested in going until Nov 30th. I have pictures you haven't seen and I'm sure most of you do.
If you would like to join Bloomin' Tuesday this week just add your name, state and permalink to Mr Linky. Remember to add a link to this post on your blog.

Thanks for hosting another Bloomin' Tuesday!!!
Hi Jean! Beautiful Astilbes - especially the one with the purple dots. I would love to go until Nov 30... although sadly nothing will be blooming here in MA except maybe some mums that haven't been killed off by frost, I'm sure we can find something to post!
Love the Astilbe... What are the reddish / Deep pink ones called? I planted Red Fanal this year... Can't wait to see them next summer!
I'm a Dianthus/Sweet William fan and that one is in a gorgeous color. November might be a little late in some parts of the U.S. but, in Oregon, fall can be one of the most beautiful times of the year. Depends, a lot, on when the rains start.
I miss my Astilbes, they bloom in April- early May here. Beautiful blooms this week Jean, love that Sunflower. Oops I forgot to add my state on my linky. I'm in Virginia. :)
I've seen only yellow sunflowers. I love the look of the sunflower that Jerzie planted.
Hi Jean ~ I loved catching up on all your posts. Your flowers continue to be gorgeous even in late summer! I posted as Va/Canada...I live in Virginia but today I'm posting flowers from our recent anniv trip to Canada. Thanks for hosting, Jean.
I can see the little purple dots, how nice. I have never grown these, wonder if they would grow here. You know I'm in for BT as long as you are posting it!
The bright pink Astilbe is 'Stand and Delive'.
I enjoyed your mystery trip post.
The anemones are blooming. When I get a decent shot, I will post them.
Thanks again for sharing from your beautiful garden, Jean!
ps-Need to get in for a trim soon.
See you then.
I just love Astilbe. You have some gorgeous ones!
Terrific photos , your flowers are inspiring.Giving me lots of ideas for next summer.
Oh, that is a pretty sunflower! I miss my astilbes, too, love the purple dots!
I hardly even think my little single flower deserves the link to Bloomin Tuesday but blogger is such a pain in the a@@ - I want to take an axe to it sometime.
I hardly have anything to share now which is why I don't post as much.
I don't have any Astilbe but I am planning on ordering some for some shadier areas. Love the way yours looks with the ferns. I would love to have some seeds.

Hi Jean,
I can go till November but I am not a perfect poster. I would love some sweet pea seeds so I will leave my address. Astilbe is another great plant here but I am still trying to get it in the exact right place.Never looks quite as happy as yours.
I give you gals who host these weekly sharing events a round of applause and a huge thank you for making it possible for so many to connect on a subject we all love!
Blessings Meg
Hi Jean,
I was thinking of you today, because it is Tuesday. I can't remember which post of mine that you checked in on me since I hadn't posted. I love our blogging community.
Since having jaw problems and going back to work, I haven't been on the computer as much. A little white piece of shelving was in the toy room we have for our grandson. I was having him drive his toy cars on it. I have figured out that I can put my computer on it, and put it on my lap, and now, I can be on the computer longer without using poor posture, which is part of the problem with the jaw. I am also doing other self care things, and the jaw seems to be healing.
I plan to link in with you again one of these weeks. I hope I still have flowers blooming in November.
Oh, and I love your sunflower, and the astilbes were beautiful when they were blooming. I wish their season lasted longer. That dianthus is a beauty, too.
