Secret Garden Tour 1

Last Saturday I was a part of the local Audubon Secret Garden Tour. This is a fund raiser for camp scholarships. One of my customers nominated my garden and I was one of six gardens visited. Tickets were 10 dollars and contained all the information to get to each garden. It was a good day, a little overcast part of the day, but we only got sprinkled on a couple times. The Audubon sent volunteers to man the ticket table and my daughter was my photographer and 'stair minder' for the day. We had people coming in starting at 10:30 and going to 4:00.
There were people out front,

a Grandma with a wheelbarrow full of sweetness,

some very stylish ladies,

a helper I could have used getting ready for the tour,

and even an Amish visitor.

We had people on the deck, which is only accessible thru my kitchen. Everyone was advised by the volunteers to go to the deck first to get an over view of my gardens.

At times the back yard was pretty full!
It was a fun day and well worth all the work getting ready. I would definitely do it again, if asked. Now the big question is how many people went thru the gardens and who is the winner of this adorable sign.
There were no guesses that went over. Katrina, from Foxglove Cottage had the winning number of 215. (E-mail me your address and I will send out your prize).
The actual number of guests in my garden was.......
drum roll, please....
447!!!!!

Jean! Wow! I never would have guessed! I saved that post in my bloglines and was going to come back later and make a guess (I forgot!), but I would have ventured something like a couple of dozen folks. Never would I have guessed 215 and for sure over 400!!! I'm sure they enjoyed your beautiful gardens.

It sounds like it was a total success! Our city garden walk is July 9. I used to enjoy them, but for the past few years I have been out of town and unable to attend.

Congrats to the winner!
