It's Bloomin' Tuesday!

Can you guess by this picture what I did on Saturday and Sunday? This is a pickup truck load (3 yards) of mulch. I did all but my side ('wild') garden which is too full for mulch. I was a little short in the shade garden but I'll fill in with compost and peat moss. I'm certainly happy that this job is done. I lost all the mulch I had in the flood last summer. My Clematis is just beautiful this year. It didn't grow too far up the ladder but it is full of blooms, as you can see.

This plant will bloom a second time if it is deadheaded but no where near as many blooms.

There is a wonderful scent in the air when you walk by the lilies-of-the-valley. I remember them growing by my Grandma's back door with some green and white grout weed. That's why I grow them together.

If you rnlarge the last picture you may be able to tell that there are pink and white ones. I didn't know they came in pink until a customer offered them to me.

I only had one allium bloom this year. I guess I'll need to plant some more bulbs because I really like this one.

I also have lots of wood hicynth in my 'wild' garden along with the forget-me-nots.

That's what's bloomin' in my little corner of the world. Sign up and show us what's bloomin' where you are planted. Just add your name and permalink to Mr Linky, below and add a link to this post on youor post or blog. I hope you all have a very happy Bloomin' Tuesday!

Beautiful Clematis! I love lilly of the valley but have had the hardest time growing it here in Atlanta! The allium is gorgeous! I really need to plant some as I always love it when I see in other people's gardens!

Your clematis is beautiful! I have one, but it needs a little tlc, any suggestions? It's just struggling along, not many blooms and they are small.
thank you for hosting!

That Clematis is a mass of blooms! How pretty. :) I love Lily of the Valley, but it never seems to take in my garden. That white Wood Hyacinth is pretty in the Wild Garden. Happy Bloomin Tuesday Jean! :)

Your clematis is stunning. I love the color. That sure looks like a lot of work but I know it is worth it.

I LOVE your Lily of the Valley. My husband's grandma mows over hers!!! Crazy! I'd like to transplant some to our house, but I heard they're poisonous? I will have to look that up, I guess, to be sure.

Hi, Jean! This is my first time linking up to Bloomin' Tuesday. Love your flowers today. Clematis and Lily of the Valley are two of my very favorite flowers on Earth, though I'll never ever be able to grow them here in Zone 9 Florida.

Hi Jean,
That pile of mulch is almost as pretty as our blooms. I grow some of the same flowers you do. My lily of the valleys were grown by my mother-in-law when she lived here. She died 17 years ago, so they've been there awhile. I've never heard of pink ones. Those are pretty. I love your clematis, too.
