It's Bloomin' Tuesday!

We are having cold weather again. There were some snow flakes in the air yesterday and a heavy frost this morning. Calling for the same tonight. I saw a couple plants were affected but I'm sure they'll come back.
The azalea in front of my house. This was here when I bought the house but it was tangled with another azalea bush. That one isn't blooming yet.
Iris and columbine beside my neighbors garage. I excited about my peony tree! It has 3 blooms this year. It only had one last year.
I love the bright color and the foliage is pretty all season with the tint of pink on the edges..
The Jack-in-the-Pulpit in the shade garden are doing great. They always remind me of the camp we used to spend our time at when the kids were young.
The color is amazing and I'm totally fascinated by them.
My favorite spring shade plant is also blooming. I love Solomon's Seal. I also have some with variegated leaves but they aren't quite open yet. They didn't fill in as well as these did.
The tiny bell shaped flower with a green edge are so delicate looking but this is actually a hardy plant. Mine are 3 to 4 feet tall now but they completely fade away in the fall.
I want to thank you all for joining our garden tour. I especially enjoy seeing plants that are only found in your area. If you would like to join this week, just add your name and permalink to Mr Linky below. I ask that you please, add a link to this post on your blog. For a choice of buttons click the button on my sidebar.
I can't wait to see your 'bloomers' this week!

Hi Jean, we've been experiencing unusually cooler weather this week too. I love your Solomon's Seal, my garden only has the variegated type and it has long since bloomed and gone. That Jack & the Pulpit is an interesting plant. Need more shady areas for all the cool shade lovers on my wish list. :)

It sounds like there are many that have been experiencing cooler weather! Your blossoms are gorgeous as always. Solomon's Seal is so pretty -- I just love it -- and your peony is beautiful!

Add Nebraska to cold places. We're not having frosts where I live, but it has gotten down to the 30s. It didn't get above 50 today. Brr!

I love your Jack in a Pulpit. I keep seeing Solomon's Seal, and think about trying it, but I need to find the right spot.

I hope your plants don't get damaged tonight. I don't think we're supposed to get as cold.

Your Jack-in-the-Pulpit brought back childhood memories of where I grew up and those little guys were everywhere in the woods behind our house. The peony tree is gorgeous,my all time favorite, aren't we funny that we know how many blossoms were on our plants last year! Please delete me as #14 that is last weeks post. ooops! You must be in an ideal area to have so many great woodland species in your garden very nice.Have a great week. Fondly Meg

My "Garden" is kind of lame next to the Chicago Botanic, which I visited twice in the last 2 weeks.
