Anticipation!

I told some of you that I would be excited to see some grass on my property. I'm officially excited!!!As you can see, we still have a lot of snow and I still don't have any garden areas peeking out but I'm very hopeful. Our temps will be in the 50s this week and after today we are expecting rain. That should move things along.
If this keeps up Bloomin' Tuesday could be happening very soon, so keep watching! As soon as I see my first bud I'll let you know!

Here in the corn, the snow is just about gone--just hanging around in those shady areas. I have daffodils and tulips peeking up, and I can hardly wait for them to bloom. Hasn't this been a LONG winter?

I left Colorado 11 days ago with snow piled high on my grass. Yesterday I came home and the snow was all melted. The grass isn't exactly a shade of kelly green, but I have high hopes!

I was able to walk to our picnic pavilion in the backyard without boots today! We still have piles of snow in places but it is disappearing more and more each day. The grass is all pushed down, ugly looking, and soggy. It will start to look better, with warmer temperatures and sunshine. Bob is outside now, putting the battery on the motorcycle. He says he won't be riding the bike anywhere; he just wants to start it up. (I hear it now.)

And I thought the snow took forever to melt here! We still have some piles the snowplows left behind - but our entire lot is clear! The crocus are up and blooming, the daffodils and hyacinths are up and forming buds. Oh, I can't wait to start posting to Bloomin' Tuesday again! We had the front door open yesterday. Beautiful sunshine. YES!!!

I'm so glad to be living in the South on the Gulf Coast. I would so hate to deal with that snow! Hope to see your flowers blooming soon.

I haven't heard people say that they can't wait for Spring as much as I have this year. I'm about to cheer for a look at grass...I saw a robin..
