Not too much new blooming this week. A few foxgloves, Stella D'Ore lilies and bachelor buttons are on the second time around.
The fall crocus (colchicum) did pop up this week. I always forget about them until I see them pop out of the ground. A pretty surprise.
I thought I'd show you some new plants I got this season. I loved the color of this Limerock Dream Coreopsis.
This is a new lavander I found at Lowe's. It's called silver edge Lavandia. There is a thin white outline on the leaves.
I just got this one. It's a Leptinella 'Platt's Black'. I'll have to wait until next year to see what it looks like.
You all know how I love ferns. I couldn't resist this fern like ground cover. The pot I bought didn't have a tag and I can't remember the name.
I'm not usually a fan of blanket flowers but the colors of this one are fabulous. It's called 'Oranges and Lemons', a perfect name!

Hi Jean! I'm new to bloomin' tuesday. I love that bright "Oranges and lemons" flower! The colors are so vibrant!
I have never seen silver leaves on lavendar. Very nice.
You have a lot of pretties still blooming. My fall crocus is not up yet. I was just out looking for it two days ago.
No hollyhock blooms here. The three plants are still alive though. I am wondering if they really are hollyhocks. The leaves look a little different--maybe I have been nurturing a weed! I am going to post a pic for you to look at later today. So if you have time, please stop by and let me know if they look like the leaves on your plants.
I've always liked seeing crocus in the spring. I didn't know there were autumn crocus. The autumn crocus are very pretty. I posted some photographs of blooms that I took while in Virginia over the Labor Day weekend.
I must buy some Crocus. Lovely blanket flower.
I love all the flowers. I almost thought the lime rock dream was cosmos. So pretty!
