It's Bloomin' Tuesday!

Welcome!Between the heat, the flood and the yard sale my backyard gardens are in need of some major TLC (and so is my blog!). The one plant that is doing great is the hydrangea.
Here you can see the flood water rushing past 3 of my hydrangea plants. It actually washed the dirt from the oak leaf and tipped it over.
This bloom was on the plant when I got it for my birthday. I can't wait to see what it does next year.
This Endless Summer Blushing Bride was blooming in the flood picture and is still in full bloom.
The Lace cap Emotion is just beautiful. The colors seem to change daily in hues of pink and purple.
The best bloomer and the most surprising is the Limelight. Here you can see that it was about half under water.
I just planted this bush late last summer and look at it now! It even had some branches break off due to the high snow last winter. I took this picture tonight after I mowed the lawn.
I just love these huge beautifully shaped blooms.
The shades of green and white are perfect! I had heard very good reviews on this amazing sun loving hydrangea and I agree with them all. A must for every garden!
If you would like to join the fun and show us your blooms, just add your name and permalink to Mr Linky. Remember to add a link to this post on your blog. It seems that many are not joining and I'm wondering if it's a lack of interest or a lack of time. Tell me your thoughts.
Happy Bloomin' Tuesday!

The Blushing Bride is a beautiful color. How much rain did you get? I was gone for a few days, and while out of town, we received another .15 of an inch, for a total of a little over 3 inches for the year so far. You probably get that much in a few hours or less!

Your hydrangea's are beautiful! Looks like the rain did a number on your plants.

The reason I don't join every week is that I usually sketch my blooms and don't think anyone is interested in them. However, today I have a nature oddity and am wondering what the gardeners think of it.
Thanks for hosting this day.

Jean ~ after seeing all the flooding you had on a previous post, I'm amazed that your flowers held up so well! The hydrangea blooms are beautiful! I've wanted to participate other weeks, but there's so much to do when there's shelling and frenching and canning from the garden. I do check in and read your posts though. Thank you for hosting.

Jean, those water shots are so depressing. I'm so glad your hydrangeas out did themselves. What wonderful plants! What beautiful blooms:) Thanks for hosting us today:)

Beautiful flowers, I have a thing for "white" flowers. I can't believe the water, wow. And I keep meaning to tell you how much I love all the pictures of your grandbabies on your sidebar. They are so sweet!!

Lovely hydrangeas. Every year we have at least one big rainstorm that causes flooding in the garden. I try to observe and figure out how to divert it for less damage, next time. I hope to someday figure out a 'rain garden' site as well.

I think all blooms count, pics or sketches. I've even laid pansy faces on the scanner to capture them.

I have 2 blogs, with 5 pics of Tuesday blooms on each one. They link to each other. I only made 1 Mr. Linky entry.

Jean,
I did not realize that you had a flood like that. I must have missed a few posts. It's surprising that your plants survived.

That Limelight is a beauty. I want one, too!

Hello Jean! Looks like I have some catching up to do. Your flowers are so pretty flood or not!
The Endless Summer Blushing Bride is beautiful and so is the Lace Cap Emotion. I've finally had time to do a Bloomin Tuesday post! This spring and summer has been so crazy but I always remember to take some photos of any flowers I see just incase I get to participate. I enjoy reading all the sites! Have a great day. I'm off to visit everyone else!
