Someone commented on this vase in another post so I decided to do a little research. I just remember it always being there and I have no idea where my Mom got it.
I found out that this is a McCoy vase from their Rustic Line made in 1945. I really like the soft color combination. The ones I found on line all looked a little different. One was all the turquoise color and wasn't anywhere near as attractive as this one, in my opinion.
There is no marking on the bottom of this vase so it doesn't always help to know marks when looking for pottery.
The value on this is 35 to 45 dollars but if you like it there is one on Ebay starting at $9.99. I love this piece and I 'm glad to be able to add it to my decor instead of hiding it in the cupboard.

That is very attractive against the wall like that. It truly is a focal point.
My show n tell is offered for viewing, won't you stop by sometime today and keep me company?
Have a terrific Friday and wonderful weekend.
There are several pottery lines from that era. McCoy is my favorite. I like the delicate coloring.
What a nice family heirloom to have. I think it would look great on your mantle.

That's a beautiful vase. I think it's so much fun to research things you have.
Hi Jean, what a pretty vase, and I enjoyed reading about the history of it. It's fun to research items that use to belong to your mother or grandmother and find out where it came from!
I enjoyed reading your post today!

Isn't it funny how the color can make the piece. I did some research recently too on a McCoy vase I picked up... the one featured was a garish color compared to the one I'd bought. Yours is so soft and charming. Lovely.
