I found as awesome bird plaque at an indoor flea market this week! It is cast iron and very heavy. When I bought it the man said it would be real nice after I repainted it. No way was I going to do that!
I love it just the way it is.
The best part is it was only 8 dollars!

I love it! And I'm with you...no need to repaint it, and take away its cottage charm! :-) You got a great deal!
Love the birds! I'm a collector-of-sorts...Don;t want to say that too loud - the kids will then send me tons for birthdays, Christmas, etc.
What a treasure you found for little $$. You're right...I would leave it just like it is. That's the character!

You are wise to leave it as you found it -- with the marks of its years on it still. I wonder where it began life?
