All the spring plants are in our grocery store now. I can walk past the miniature daffodils, the crocus and the hyacinth but not the primroses, especially when they are different than what I have.
I spotted these yellow and orange ones right away. They are just called Primula but they do seem to have more petals than most of my primroses.
This color is just lovely. They really look like little roses.
I had to have this amazing orange with the yellow centers. I prefer this type of primrose where the flowers are almost hidden among the leaves. I can't wait to plant these two in my garden. Who knows, I may have a few more to plant by the time all this snow melts!

I just love primroses too. They are so pretty, in so many lovely colors. I like the orange with the yellow center. I do not have that color. I don't think I have ever seen that color for sale here!

Those are pretty little plants! Most people don't even try to grow primroses here, but they do use the plants as favors for tea parties and showers. They buy cheap and delicate cups and saucers from dollar stores or Goodwill, and just put the primrose plants in them--meant to last only a short time.
Those are lovely. As you know I just bought my first two Primsroses. Do I plant them in the shade?
Darla, Primroses love cool weather. When it gets too warm the leaves change color and the plant almost looks dead. Plant them in the coolest area of you garden. Chances are they will be the best in the winter months in hot areas. Jean

What pretty colors. These don't do well down here (at least not for me), so I just enjoy others. The multiple petals on the yellow one, and the creamy orange on the other-how different!

Don't know if I'm too late (or early) for bloomin tuesday. I posted yesterday - with lots of blooms. Will have to add the logo.
I love your pretty yellow primroses. Mine always die. I grow them inside the house, maybe that's why they don't survive.

Love the colors of both of these primroses. They will be a great addition to your primrose garden.
