I am not a hankie collector but have accumulated a few from family and friends. I have a couple men's hankies,
lacy hankies,
fruity hankies,
colorful hankies,
and well worn hankies.
I've used a couple in my decor.
One of my favorites is this silk hankie dated 1919 that I got with the scarf from my Grandfather's army uniform. (I have no idea what the word on this hankie is,do you?) The scarf is the material on my mantle pictured in my header.
I also love this crocheted lady on this hankie.
If you'd like to see more hankies go to "Sugar Sugar" for a list of participants.

Nice!
I can't believe I am not participating in this one.
Heading out to Rach's for a few days...and I had a house full yesterday.
I may not be able to check in as usual.
Have a good week, Jean!
What an amazing collection of hankies. I'm impressed! My vintage hanky apron show & tell is up. Do stop by. I'll even fix you a plate of my Just Peachy Cobbler. :D
For your daily dose of vintage goodness & a bit of silliness, stop by Confessions of an Apron Queen, the home of Vintage Thingies Thursdays.
Hi Jean,
Love your collection of hankies. I have loads tucked away too. My favorite is the last one you've displayed. So cute!

Fruity hankies! I've never seen any of those before. Great collection. And I love your blog banner too!

You may not be a collector, but you have a beautiful collection. My daughter collects hankies, so I'm going to have her check out your photos.

Hi Jean, Nice Collection.
Love your grandchildren picture flasher too. Gonna have to get me a photo bucket acct I guess.
Jean,
that last one is so unique. I love it!
I have the same one with the gold crocheted border. I always assumed it was handmade, but maybe not if you have the identical one. At least it sure looks identical.
Great collection. Thanks for sharing with us.

I love your precious collection and your blog header is beautiful!

nice, thanks for sharing these. I am guessing a family name 'Coblenz' or a town??? but I am not a great guess-er!
I love the lady with the crocheted skirt - I've never seen one like that. Coblenz is a town on the Rhine in Germany (that's how it was spelled in the old, old days, before 1926, if that helps you date your hanky.) Thanks for sharing!
Those are all beautiful but I love the last one with the girl in the crocheted skirt. So pretty!
Jean,
I love the old hankies. I have a small collection . Mine are mostly Christmas ones. I use them with my decorations.
I love that one you have with the croched lady> I remember my mom and aunts used to do those kind of things!
Wish I had them now!
Junie
You have a lovely collection of hankies. I love the little lady one
